Mark the Barber

Welcome to Mark the Barber. As the title suggests my name is Mark and I have been cutting men’s hair for 20 years. My experience in the barber trade is second to none. I decided to set up this website because I am always being asked questions about hair loss, hairstyle tips and what type of product should I use.  I thought it would be a good idea to use my knowledge to inform people on some simple styling techniques, and add articles on various topics I think you may be interested in. Of course I will also be adding a comprehensive Mens Hair Style section. I will try and make the images big enough for you to print off; you can then take the Hair Style into your hairdresser or Barber. 

Speaking for myself, I recommend you bring with you pictures of the hairstyles you like. It makes my job so much easier If I can get an idea of exactly what you are looking for. It can be extremely difficult when customers come in and tell you they want their hair like some pop star or soap star, I’m 45 years old, I am a little out of touch with the who’s who of haircuts. This is not to say I am out of touch with Mens Hair Styles, I keep myself up to date with all the latest cutting techniques. This is very important. I shall be covering more on this subject in a separate section. I will be giving some advice on what to look for when finding a Barber or Hairdresser, explaining the differences.
